Clogged Fuel Filter
A commonly replaced part of your engine, the fuel filter is responsible for removing fuel contaminants that can cause issues with your engine’s operation. These filters can become clogged with these contaminants from both use and age, which can result in engine troubles such as rough idling, engine stalling, misfires, and general poor performance. Every time you get an oil change with BoomTech, you should also get a fresh filter to always make sure your fuel is properly treated.
Contaminated Transfer Case Fluid
One of the many parts of your engine, your transmission’s transfer case is what allows your truck to move through different modes. Consequently, transfer case fluid is what lubricates and cools the parts within the transfer case. This can lose effectiveness over time as the lubricating qualities break down or the fluid can become contaminated. This means an increased level of friction within the transfer case, resulting in overheating and overall damage to the components within. Although ideally your transfer case fluid should be replaced every 100,000 kilometers, it can be changed sooner if you feel it necessary.
